Shopping with Mom!

So…

Since I’m leaving for my semester abroad in Europe in basically 16 days, my mom and I decided to check back with Travel Club to see if they still had the purple trolley case set from Delsey. Instead we found that they now carried the newest line of Delsey Trolley Cases: the U-Lite. They were lighter than the Helium line by far, and surprisingly cheaper, but unfortunately the newest line did not come in the color purple. However, it DID come in Fire Engine Red! My mom and I decided on the rectangular, upright cabin-sized one as well as the large, check in-size one. We were able to buy the cabin-sized one right away, but have to wait till next week since the large (in all colors) is currently out of stock.

Aside from it being the newest line, the Delsey U-Lite is much lighter than it looks. One of its advantages (in my opinion) is that it opens up like a clam: the top zippers open, leaving a wide interior with plenty of room. My previous trolley case in size medium opens up like a book (zippered down the middle), which made squeezing things in a bit difficult at times.

According to the website, in this particular size (the 53cm cabin wheel), the Delsey U-Lite is supposed to be able to fit the following items:

I couldn’t resist checking out the swimwear section before going home, especially since some were on sale: each year I try to find a bright neon color (preferably yellow), a white/back design, or a graffiti/tribal-inspired print (preferably with the color purple). This time was definitely a success, especially since the piece was the last in size small!

a bit difficult to figure out, I thought the straps went behind the neck at first!

yellow (well, yellow-GREEN) AND tribal print all in one!

love the elastic around the waist – (much better and more comfortable) than string-ties (IMO)

Whether it’s before I leave for London, or sometime this summer, I am definitely ready to hit the beach!
